Rotary is ordinary people around the world sharing their professional skills and working together in a social environment to build better communities.
We operate as a club with weekly meetings developed around a guest speaker or special event where business, community and service issues are discussed in an interactive and relaxed atmosphere.

We are pleased to announce the 2013 Community Service Award recipients:-
Mrs Ruth Austin - for outstanding service to Lindfield Primary School and the Ku-ring-gai community
John Bennett and Ken Westacott for their joint contribution as a volunteer team to the Willoughby Meals on Wheels service
The awards were presented by Cr Pat Reilly, Mayor of Willoughby City.
The Rotary Club of Chatswood congratulates the recipients and thanks them for their efforts.
President Jennifer Brown said "It is always a privilege to be able to acknowledge those who work quietly and consistently to build better communities".
Nominations are currently being sought from High Schools in the area served by The Rotary Club of Chatswood for this year's Gordon Waterhouse Memorial Music Scholarship.
Worth $2,000, this is one of the most prestigious and valuable scholarships offered to a young Sydney musician.
The finalists will perform at The Zenith Centre, Chatswood on Wednesday 12 June commencing at 7.00pm and you are invited to attend to experience the wonderful diversity of talent showcased by these young musicians.

So ... a bit about Jennifer. In response to the question - WHY DID YOU JOIN ROTARY AND WHY DO YOU STAY?
Jennifer gave the following response:-
In my case, I have a lot of love and energy to give (and as my son, at 25 seems to resist constant motherly smothering!) I thought community work would be a good outlet for them. Whilst reviewing options, it was suggested to me there would be more potential professional and personal advantages to joining a service club with a wide range of projects than focusing on a single charitable cause.
As to why I stay, well that is all about the Rotary experience. I have met some amazing people with whom I really enjoy spending time and, added to that, is the personal satisfaction I get when I work on a project I believe in with people I like and respect.
To hear more from Jennifer and to read a testimonial from a recent visitor we invite you to find out how you can Get Involved and make a difference.
